Shaun Taylor Bevins
SHAUN
TAYLOR BEVINS graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in
Nutritional Sciences and a Professional Masters in Physical Therapy. Immersed in the health
sciences, she didn't seriously pursue her writing aspirations until after the birth of her
fourth child. Since then, her creative fiction, photography, and fitness articles have appeared
in print and online. The first 2000 words of her
children's chapter book Beatrice Beasley won first place in the
annual Seven Hills Literary Contest sponsored by the Tallahassee Writers Association
and appears in the 2013 Seven Hills Review. Finally, Shaun's short story "I Will
Survive" will appear in Chesapeake Crimes: Homicidal
Holidays,--scheduled for release in the fall of 2014,
and her short story "The Blizzard" will appear in Chesapeake Crimes: Storm Warning--scheduled for release in the Spring of
2016.
Shaun is currently a member of the Chesapeake Chapter of Sisters in Crime and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
A resident of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, when she's not writing, homeschooling, working as a physical therapist/fitness consultant, or contributing to her website, Fitness for Smart People, she teaches a W.I.T.S. personal training certification course.
She is our site's webmaster. She also is honored to have her digital photography featured in the site's header.
Shaun's love for writing is only surpassed by her love for reading. A fan of many genres, she posts her reviews on her blog and goodreads. She is also a volunteer reader for Black Fox Literary Magazine.
