Jeanne Slawson

JEANNE SLAWSON earned an art degree and worked as an art consultant, but after taking a memoir class, she now prefers to paint pictures with words.  To this end, she has participated in numerous classes, workshops, and conferences.  Her focus has been creative nonfiction, with a few short forays into fiction.  She recently completed a coming-of-age memoir about her family’s move from the Boston suburbs to a small Vermont farm.

Her work has been excerpted in Laura Oliver’s new book, The Story Within and published in Peer View at Anne Arundel Community College. Being part of BWW allows her to learn from some of the most talented and generous people around.
